Any opinions of this or reviews would be appreciated.
The DVD contains all the videos that were on the videocassette. There are also 2 "hidden" videos of Afterimage and The Enemy Within. You can select either the PCM or Dolby Digital 2.0 for the sound. The picture is full screen.
I received my copy of "Chronicles" yesterday. I must say that the menu screens were nicely done. It took a little bit to find the hidden videos. The hidden videos('Enemy Within' and 'Afterimage') seem to be only in PCM and not Dolby Digital. The video quality is as good as you can expect from music videos that are over 13 years old. I am just glad to have them on DVD and look forward to their 'live' releases being released.
Hidden tracks? Ugh. I can't wait to 'enjoy' looking for them.
The LD version running time is 59 mins. without the two extra Dvd tracks.
I'll try to do an audio comparison when I get my hands on the Dvd, since the video quality will most definitely have a better transfer, it better have !
I didn't know this was out on DVD...
I can't wait to pick this up. Also, if you like Rush, you may want to check out Dream Theater (very similar - progressive rock). They also have a DVD out called, Dream Theater: Metropolis 2000: Scenes from New York. It also contains "deleted" footage and a commentary track.
Just thought I would bring that up since I enjoy Rush and LOVE Dream Theater. Two great tastes that taste great together.
