The computer that I use at work has the proxy configuration in Internet Explorer deactivated. I work in a basement where I can't get any radio reception. I used to stream the local sports channel over the computer using a proxy.

Is it possible to install IE on a flash drive to use a proxy?

almost certainly not for IE, since it is so "integrated" into the operating system. those portable apps by john haller are great.

I tried using a proxy with Firefox on the hard drive but I couldn't get it to work.

I used to get it to work with IE so I thought I would try that.

any special tricks for using a proxy with firefox?
