On the heels of the success of The Last Waltz I've heard there is some interest in putting this out on DVD. I was at that concert and own the LD. There wasn't a Scorcese directing, but the filming and recording techniques were top rate. And quite an array of talent (ignoring Dylan's own contributions).

I saw it when it aired and would buy the disc. Bob Dylan's voice seemed very weak that night, much weaker then when I saw him live this last November. Still, I just love watching the man. He is definitely one of my highlights of The Last Waltz. And, you're right about the talent at that show - absolutely phenominal.
