RPTV picture problem (1 Viewer)

Having a dilemma: When I first turn on my TV (this just started last night) my picture has snow and what looks like wavy lines moving about. the picture is also dark and kind of flutters bright and dark. I can still see a picture however. Having called Direct TV (which I initially though was the problem) and eliminated it due to the fact that it also does this when I use DVD which is not connected to my satellite rec.I have checked all connections ect. The funny thing is that the picture eventually comes back to normal after a time with the TV on. I'm suspecting a TV problem but do not know what could possibly cause these symptoms. Any help from the pros would be appreciated

Whatever is causing your problem doesn't sound normal. You definetly need a tech to look over the set. Is it still under warranty?
