Hi there. I'm very new at this and am looking to spend about $3,500 for a projection system. Any opinions on which might be better front or rear. There are some nice DLP front projectors now available at this price range (i.e, Sharp PG-M20X, etc.) as well as some cool rear projection system. Anyone have any opinions??

Also, how does one connect one's cable coaxial to the front projector (which I'm assuming does not have a tuning system)? I really would not like to route it through a computer system.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Shahid,

    Welcome to the forum.
Your question is a bit difficult to answer right away, because there are many conditions that influence a wise choice. Examples: How large is your HT room? Can you really darken your room (almost) totally - and do you want that all the time? What sort of material do you watch mostly?
Please tell us a bit more and we may be able to advise you (but much of it is personal preference!).

Yes, you need a tuner. Some people use their TV-sets for that, some their VHS recorders.
