    Hello,

I have an RCA P52812, and I did a basic calibration with it using the Sound & Vision DVD (good improvement.) However, after a power failure the TV loses these settings. Now that I know how to do it, I can repeat after a failure. However, I am considering a better calibration, and I am worried that I will lose those settings too.

Is this normal? And would the service menu settings be affected too?

    Thanks,

    Eric

just write down your setting after you calibrate it. that should help if that happens again.

Thanks for the tip-- I will try that after I calibrate. Subsequently I have found that my setting were not getting reset; it was all me, as even by going into the menu to look at available presets it was wiping mine out. Oh well... :)

Also, I noticed a comment somewhere (I think on this forum, but I am not sure) about changing the presets in the service menu to hold the basic settings that you choose. I think I will look for a parameter to do this, although as a total newbie I am not sure I will...
