Since I have finally settled on buying the new sony KP43HT20 43 Inch TV. I have a few questions about burn-in. Specifically what causes it and what measures can be taken to prevent this from happening? Also I have only read a few things about the newer Digital Reality Creation (DRC™): Is this technology as good as others have stated on this forum? I hope someone can give me some good news about this set since it is the perfect size for my cabinet and it can do the anamoprhic squeeze. Thanks in advance for your advice...

First thing, turn your contrast and brightness down below 50%. They are likely on Torch mode (over 70%) and THAT will absolutely cause burn-in.
Some sets are even set at 100% contrast at the factory, which is insane.
