I've been trying out the latest Hitachi DVD-RAM handheld camcorder - very nice.

It uses 8 cm DVD-RAM discs in a disc cartridge, but the media is removable from the cartridge. The Hitachi instruction manual says it uses DVD-RAM Book 2.1 compatible 1.4 GB discs (per side), at 30 minutes a side. (The Book 2.1 standard didn't exist until late last year.)
Would these work in the Panasonic RP91? Unfortunately, I can't test the disc out in my own player since I live in a different city.

I will buy a disc or two then to try them and bring them back with me.
Thanks.
P.S. The Hitachi can put both stills and video on the same disc, and has both a standard video mode and a fine (DVD quality) video mode. I wonder what all of these will mean to DVD playback on the RP91.
