    greeting,
i've just invested in an sdi modded version of this player and i read in the specs that it does dvd audio. i already have several of these discs and enjoy the dd5.1 option they deliver for the time being.

i have just read a portion of a post that says i will have to use the multichannel inputs on my receiver. i have the Onkyo 575, (i always wondered what those mci's were for), part of that is a sw out.
do i have to change the input from the pre out on the sub eveytime i play a dvd audio disc? and whi can't i use the coax or optical? isn't it still 6 channel separation?

    thanks,
    peter m.

DVD-A is only available through 6-channel analog outputs. This is mainly copy protection driven, but there are some transfer limitations to current digital connections as well.
