OK, I've got non-anamorphic widescreen movies and instead of resizing this to my screen, my player puts up black bars on the sides, like putting the video in a window on the tv. I set to zoom but it crops the pic. Am I doing something wrong. I thought this was supposed to reformat the non-anamorphic stuff. Thanks.

What kind of TV? (I assume it's 16x9) The TV should be set to FULL mode (the one normally used for anamorphic DVDs), the RP91 in progressive mode (small button on front panel) with the U4 menu setting on Auto (or Zoom). Then it will scale the non-anamoporhic image to fill the screen horizontally with proper proportions.

In addition to Glenn's suggestions, make sure the RP-91 is setup for a 16x9 TV in the setup menu.

If the non-anamorphic widescreen DVD is flagged properly, the AUTO setting in the U4 menu will properly size the image. If the disc is flagged improperly, you will need to manually zoom the image by changing this setting to ZOOM.
