Do a search on "Yahoo" shopping, just enter Panasonic RP82 and a couple of stores "claiming" stock will come up. Like this one:
BSless.com claims to ship you a new one for $228, also :
    discountmaven.com for $271 shipped,
Edigitalcity.com, for 249 shipped, all to CA.
Click on the very first one to get the "BSless.com" one.
Do not know if these are legit or actually do have stock, so buyer beware and good luck !

I have seen a lot of posts regarding this player.
Whats so special about it? Why the high demand =)
    Thanks,
    Brian

  4. Well it has the best de-interlacing along with it being one of very few players that does not have the Chroma bug along with having DVD-A. Plus the price for all of these features it is a good buy

Amazon - Panasonic DVD-RP82S Progressive Scan DVD Player for $229.99 with FREE Shipping!

Just check out the deals page here for today. I'm satisfied with my player but I know many are looking for this.

Amazon doesn't have any. The link on the deals page takes to to amazon but they say they don't have stock and it's discontinued.

I got fed-up placing orders for black RP-82's and finding out there was not stock, then ordering black Cp-72's with the same run around. Finally I just ordered a silver one from Crutchfield.

There is no such thing, they were only ever produced in silver.
