Can I get some advice fast?

I have the money now to purchase a Panny RP-82. I know that it is a great player. The only thing stopping me is the new line of Panny's that will be comming out. Will the new players still utilize Faroudja chips? Even if they do will they be better than the 82?

Any advice will be much appreciated. I need to make a decision quickly while I can still get a RP-82.

If you can still get a RP82, jump on it. I got an email from Panasonic customer service saying they won't even be told the specs of the new line until April. It might be a while before you see them.

Can you still buy this player? I haven't found it in stock anywhere.

For a $200 for the player that scores on the top of the Secrets ShootOut compared to $2000 players, how can you loose? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Reading between the lines of this article, I'd bet the new panny's will NOT have the Faroudja chip in them. Better get that RP82 or plan on paying more for something else.
