Perhaps using the wording came off as political commentary, but I understand what the guy was trying to say. "America" as a cultural influence has seen it's reputation severely tarnished by the actions of mega-corporations during the last quarter-century. Disney, like other media comglomerates, decide what people around the world perceive as "American Culture". When all people see is crappy product and corporate greed, there is bound to be backlash. During Walt's lifetime he was dedicated to furthering the art of entertainment, whether it was through animation, live-action films, television, or theme parks. Of course Walt didn't mind the money that was generated, but he was always concerned with quality first. Even the Disneyland TV show, of which many episodes were blatant self-promotion for other Disney ventures, made sure that every episode was entertaining above all else. That's why we still watch them today. Eisner and those currently in charge of Disney have no vision outside of the maximization of profits. There is no Walt to guide the company. Sadly, unless a miracle occurs and a new visionary takes a controlling interest in the company, I see Disney falling into irrelevance and eventual downfall.
