    Hi guys,
I am still trying to figure out. Used Rotel RSX-1065 and new Marantz SR8300 can be had for pretty much the same price. Is there anything about Rotel that would make it worth while getting a used unit without warranty over brand new with one? I have listened to 1056 versus 8300 and I did not feel big difference. Don't get me wrong, they sounded rather different, but both very nice and I did not thing one is a better value than another based on sound alone, however, I am not sure about 1065.

What sort of price are you able to get on the 1065? Its a pretty nice unit but I may be able to suggest a better deal depending on the price you are getting already

I just saw Rotel RSX-1065 selling on audiogon several times for 1200-, which is what the SR8300 now costs.

I would suggest an A:B comparison if possible. Also, I would ask why the Rotel is for sale - I understand them to be pretty nice units all around.
    Good luck with your decision.

I am looking on Audiogon, so neither would really be an option.
