My local Rotel dealer is asking for $2,615 for the Rotel RMB-1095 + Rotel RSP-1066 combo. Is this a good deal?

If I'm correct, Rotel has a pretty slim profit margin (compared to other brands) for the dealer. The list price of the 1066 is $1500 and the 1095, I think, but am not sure, is $2000. So, if I have this right, the dealer is discounting from $3500 msrp to $2615, a roughly 25% discount. To me, that sounds like he's giving you a really nice deal. Again, I'm not sure of the retail price of the 1095. Anyone else?

The 1066 list price is $1,499 and the list price for the 1095 is $1,999. So total list price is $3,498. Many Rotel dealers offer no discount, but 10%-15% seems to be the norm. So I'd say you're getting a good deal.

unless its open boxed, demo, or something, that is a killer deal...

most rotel items get 15% at most, although, i have heard that the 1095 doesn't sell that well, so maybe you can get a bigger discount on it....

I work for a Rotel dealer and that is a very good deal. You might also consider a RSX-1055 receiver. It is a RSP-1066 pre/pro, but also has a tuner and five 75 watt high current amps!!.The receiver is about $300.00 less retail.Check out this months "Perfect Vision " magazine for a 1055 review.

Haris--
I see you're not local (UAE - not even close!) Is that $2615 US and is it a dealer you can trust?
