I see that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead was released on a Region 2 DVD last March. How is the transfer?

I don't suppose this means a Region 1 release is imminent... [IMG]

    Oh I love this picture!

Remember the little touches? Like Rosencrantz's experiments with the paper airplanes, discovery of buoyancy.

I hope this comes out in a new anamorphic widescreen edition, not a port of the open matte LD.

I figured this was a small enough film that the studios would have issued this years ago. Does anyone have any info on a release...ever?

It's a shame, indeed. The R2 version has been out for quite a while. I'd certainly pay up for an R1.
