I am new to this forum and have found it to be very informative. I am in the planning stages of remodeling my basement. I was wondering the ideal room size for a home theater.

Hi Marc, and welcome! How much room to do you have to work with? Just an inch in one direction or the other, can have a tremendous affect on the acoustical properties and performance of your room.

Well, I have a 1200sq ft basement that I am anxious to start designing. Granted I would not make it that big, if I did my wife would not let me upstairs again. BUt I am looking at approximate dimentions so I can map it out. Thanks in advance.
