    Hi all,

Does anyone have a good online source for room darkening shades? Can these be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes?

Any suggestions from folks who have bought shades for their theater/media room?

    Thanks,

    Mike

I bought blackout shades at Lowes that were made by Levolour. They work really well and come with either an internal cord or an external cord. I have owned both and much prefer the internal cord (fewer problems) if you can do without the external one.

Basically. Just make sure you get the blackout blinds. They have a special layer that blocks out the sun, even in the middle of the day. While you still get some light along the edges of the blinds, you don't get much and the room is pretty darned dark, darker than dusk.
