Anchor Bay UK have announced a four-disc boxset for George Romero's classic zombie movies!! Due to street in September, some specs can be found at the R2 Project by clicking the link below.
There doesn't appear to be any word on picture/sound formats however, and no mention whether Night.. will be the original version or the recent abomination which had extra shots added. My guess would be the original in all it's copyright-free black and white glory. No word on which version of Dawn... is included either, but it appears to be the 139 minute so-called director's cut.
Dawn... and Day... both appear to have extras from previous R2 releases by other companies - the Savini commentary for BMG's previous release of the 139 minute version of Dawn... looks to be included, for example. We can but hope for re-mastered anamorphic video and 5.1 DD (and dts?) audio for these two.
The fourth and final disc in the set includes, among other stuff, Roy Frumkes' Document of the Dead docco. Joy!! Ladies and Gentlemen, START YOUR ZOMBIES!!!
