If you own the new special edition, how is the new 16x9 transfer and Dobly Digital 5.1 sound. Even though I am not a big fan of the movie, I might give it a second viewing after watching Moulin Rouge.

The Transfer is top notch and sounds great. Extras aren't quite as extensive as MR but still thoughtfully put together and well presented. Well worth the purchase.

I got my Region 2 copy the other day...

I haven't looked through all the extras yet, but being a huge fan of the movie I was disappointed that they only put one trailer on there - there was a different trailer on the previous DVD release!

Also a shame not to have a conclusive Making Of documentary, or more on the task of adapting the play for the screen.

I am being hyper-critical, though the print is very good (a few blemishes here and there...) but it's great that they put it back out at all...what a brilliant film!
