It would be nice to see this classic done justice on dvd. The current dvd is overmatted (just look at the end credits.) The correct ratio should be 1.66:1...there are compression artifacts all over the place. It would be nice to see an edition with a commentary by the great director and the two leads, and Michael York and a documentary. But since it is Paramount, it is doubtful in the near future. :frowning:

yeah, and she's only 15, that's the kicker.

But man, does she EVER stop wailing?

I wouldn't mind picking this up on DVD, to erase the crap that was the Baz Luhrman version from my mind.

Ah yes, to a 13 year old boy, Olivia Hussey made Shakespeare palatable.

I must say, though, that the film stuck with me long after the novelty of boobies wore off. It's a tremendous film and well-deserving of a nice disc. I saw the film again several years ago and it still made me cry.
