Rolling stones 40 licks in sacd? (1 Viewer)

I was curious if the new 40 licks cd is in sacd format. If it isn't, is there any plans on making one? Any help would be appreciated.

40 licks is not released as an SACD at this point in time.

The record label (Virgin (and I forget its parent)) release in both SACD and DVD-A.

Jacob, I have heard nothing about Forty Licks being released on SACD. I really wish Virgin had rode the momentum wave that ABKCO started. :frowning:

I wonder if because a large majority of the songs on Forty Licks are owned ABKCO and already on Hot Rocks, they did not want to cut into their sales of the SACD Hybrid. If I knew Forty Licks was coming out on SACD Hybrid and using the same masters as the tracks on Hot Rocks I would probably have not bought Hot Rocks.
