Rogers Cable PVR - anyone have it? (1 Viewer)

I was thinking about getting the Rogers PVR unit. Seeing as TiVo's aren't available here, this is my only option.

Any Rogers cable customers have one? How do you find it? And also, is channel changing still slow as molasses or have they figured out a way to speed that up?

Just picked one up last week and I'm very pleased with it, so far. My main reason for getting it was that it's the only way to record HD from cable.

Picture quality is identical to the source, and it's fairly simple and intuitive to use.

As with every type of cable box I've ever seen, it does a poor job with analog channels (muddy, grainy and prone to interference). The tuner in my set and VCR both do a superior job. However, the digital stations - especially the HD ones - look great.

And, unfortunately, changing channels still takes forever.

But overall, it's definitely worth the $10 extra per month.
