Is the mix light on the surrounds? I just hooked up my SACD player and I was wondering if I hooked everything up right and have the settings correct because the surrounds are barely used. I had to put my ear up to it to make sure anything was coming out of it, but there was. It sounds awesome up front. So is it light on the surround speakers? I'm in direct mode by the way.

Yes, the Roger Waters SACD surround mix hardly uses the surrounds except for very minimal ambience and some sound effects. (In fact this disc hardly uses the center channel or the subwoofer either).

Nothing wrong with your system.

Allen, I agree with Michael. Interestingly, the stereo track uses QSound and has a bit of a surround-sound feel with the crowd noise.

Thanks for the help. I noticed that in a few places they do use them for effects, but mostly just ambience. :)
