Roger Rabbit rebate (1 Viewer)

The Roger Rabbit DVD has a $5 rebate coupon for owners of previous versions of the movie. Looking at the coupon it appears that photocopies are acceptable of the UPC code off the video tape box. I am hoping that this is not a typo because cutting open the side of the box to get the UPC code would bea mess. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but can anyone verify this?

I saw that after cutting off the UPC. I don't thinkmy vhs had a prrof of purchase tag. I took the tape out and bent the box to cut the upc out without cutting from the end. But I will probably never look at the VHS again.

Will they even accept the UPCs from a decade+ old tape?

Hmmm... if I buy the used VHS for $1.99 then that's $3.01 in my pocket!!
