Overall, the Rocky Horror DVD has a fantastic transfer, but there a few shots that stand out as blurry. One shot that is very blurry (and annoying), is after Frankie turns everyone to stone, and Magenta and Riff Raff dance around the statues. That one shot is very blurry, and there are black specles on that shot as well.
Has anyone else noticed it, and could they explain why these shots aren't as clear as everything else?
It looks like Fox forgot to remaster these few shots, and just threw them back in unmastered, after they say the mistake!

Hi...
Actually, the reason these shots are so blurry is because they are shots that were double-processed for transitions in the original film. Check out the movie again, and you'll see that almost every shot in the film with a transition before or after it is blurry. It's in the original film, and it's especially apparent when you view these scenes in a theatre.
In fact, in the scene where they're all statues, there's a speck of dust where Janet's arm is, in that processed shot. As soon as the shot changes to the Criminologist, the speck disappears... We used to yell in the theatre, "That's my trained flea! Jump flea, jump!" just before the speck disappears. And then it did.
