Every place I check online still says the 12th, but both Target & Best Buy have it in today's ad for the 5th. I'm assuming it's been moved up, but the online retailers haven't updated their sites.

Edit: Thought you meant the theatrical movie.

Flipping through the ads from yesterday and saw 1st season and realized mistake.

Moose & Squirrel were anxious to be released. I was surprised myself but Amazon is now showing an August 5th date.

Hmm...odd. I just got a press release dated on July 16th, and it lists Aug 12th as the date.

That's fascinating, because this title is definately being advertised for this week's releases (and for a nice price of $24.99 at Target!):

Saw this at my Wal-Mart yesterday, two days before release date, for about $27. Wished I hadn't already ordered it from DDD.

Your not supposed to mention which stores are putting it out early. Actually though, I saw this a few days ago at my Discount Retail Chain. Only the second title I have ever seen early. The other was School House Rock.

Yes, Best Buy's ad says the 5th, but the site says the 12th.

A well known e-tailer with many international sites shipped mine early last week (The American site usually ship internationally a week early as it taks over a week to arrive by airmail).

I believe the 5th is for the US and the 12th for Canada.

Best Buy had plenty of copies on the shelf yesterday -- not surprising, given that it was in their weekly circular this week.

Here is an interesting spin on this discussion: a Video Store Magazine article saying that Best Buy and Amazon had "exclusive" rights to sell it on 8/5, and street date for everyone else is 8/12. So why did Target have the ad, too? What's up with Wal-Mart and Costco having it out the same day, and cheaper than the rest? And, in the end, isn't this an example of chain stores getting favored over the little mom-and-pop stores again? Why in the world would anyone do this different-street-dates-for-different-stores thing? [IMG]

Oh, well...after the bug in the corner, I guess nothing should surprise me. [IMG]

Does anyone know if this set is available in Canada at all? I just checked a bunch of Canadian sites and none of them have it listed. It's bad enough the "All In The Family" sets aren't available here. I really hope the case isn't the same with this.
