Wasn't sure where exactly to post this observation, so forgive me if it's out of place. Hopefully, it'll be entered in whatever database exists.
In the Season Two boxed set of "The Rockford Files," an otherwise pristine presentation of episodes is marred by a bit of mucking about on the episode "The Hammer of C Block," which featured Isaac Hayes as a guest star.
Apparently, Mr. Hayes composed a song to open the episode (it's credited in the end titles), but both the music and accompanying lyrics --- along with the footage --- have been clipped, rather than just re-dubbing the soundtrack with suitably generic music. (Upon viewing, I thought the episode began a bit abruptly, but the reason wasn't made clear until seeing the closing credits.)
