Here's a quote from the Rock and Rule Homepage:
If it isn't BS then it's about time. I have been waiting one helluva long time to see this flick.
Who are Unearthed Films and what have they done previous? Last I checked, MGM still owned the movie in the U.S., albeit in a status they referred to as "inactive."
My name is MOK...thanks a lot. Indeed, who exactly are Unearthed Films? Well HERE'S their site..whoever they are.
Having just looked over their site....I'm not quite hopeful. They seem to want to be another Blue Underground or Synapse....you know upon closer inspection their web site is awfully similar to Synapse's site...is there a connection I wonder?
I thought that most of the soundtrack was recorded specifically for this movie. Wouldn't that mean that the rights to the soundtrack stay with the rights to the movie? Besides everyone has to start somewhere, I'm going to stay optimistic for now until there is a reason not to be. Dean
I've never seen this movie, but years ago ended up getting a comic book of it, in a grab bag, from a town fair. I've wanted to see the movie ever since but never could find it.
A guilty pleasure, I'd probably buy this one
This has long been on the top of my most wanted films. I had e-mailed Nelvana Films about a year or so ago. They responded to me that it was in the works. I just hope this turns out to be true. "I didn't offer you anything, I offer you Everything!!!"
Unearthed Films is a very new company that seems to specialize in underground and obscure cult films. I think their only releases so far are the Japanese Guinea Pig gore movies (which I will never watch). It looks like they're going all out with this release, though. Hopefully, it'll be good (and I'll be picking up the limited release).
They updated their site with some more details. Here is a clip:
