I was going to shoot a note that someone referred to "Bassmasa" in this week's Gamespotting, but then I realized it was Rob "Bassmasa" Pierce himself writing a guest editorial.

Nice editorial, Rob (and the first one worth reading and not immediately scrolling through in a long time). I'm wondering why I don't see more talk of XBL's community aspects.

And if you didn't check your PM:

Great job, Rob. Well-written, funny, and you captured my feelings towards online play perfectly. Nice pic, too. [IMG]

    Good shot, Bassmassa! [IMG]

Nice job Rob! But, you never mentioned getting owned in your first Mech Assault tournament by Scar and Mr. Darth Vader![IMG] [IMG]

Seriously though, I feel the same way you do about online play. Out of the hundreds of games I own, I can't manage to get beyond playing either PSO or Mech Assault.

By the way, after they took my submission, I was able to score a free subscription to GameSpot Complete. I highly recommend giving it a shot.

Not to nitpick (Ok, I totally am), but the one timer didn't appear until NHL 94, and there never was a game called NHL 93 (since EA only had the NHLPA license that year).

Wow that really was very good.
    Nice job Rob!

And they liked it so much they even added your pic to the page header.. (above the 73) Your up there with the likes of Harry Potter, some other editors, and some hot ani-girls. I think that is a good sign.
