I know he wasn't actually performing Chewbaca anymore, but it's a shame he never got to see The Rise of Skywalker. Hopefully he knew what they were going to do there.

Sorry to hear this. I knew he’d had some walking difficulties for a long time, and being that tall takes a toll on the body. But he distinguished himself over the decades as a kind soul and helped bring life to a character that will be loved after all of us have passed on.
