Jon Schnepp, the director of the documentary "The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened?", and the Adult Swim series Metalocalypse, passed away today at the age of 51 after suffering a stroke a week ago.

Jon was also the host of the weekly Collider Heroes show which discussed comic book movies.

This is extremely sad. Last fall, he came to our local library where he did a forum for aspiring filmmakers. He screened his documentary about the failed Nicholas Cage Superman film, which I found fascinating. Afterwards, he spoke for nearly 2 hours and seemed like such a fun and talented guy. RIP.
