Just read on CNN that Ginger Baker passed at the age of 80. For my money, one of the great Rock and Roll drummers; maybe my favorite. Always loved his work on Disraeli Gears, particularly on Tales of Brave Ulysses.

Ginger was in one of my favourite bands (Hawkwind) for a short time until, 'the world's best drummer was fired by the world's worst bass player', Dave Brock. Wonderful recent documentary 'Beware of Mr. Baker', available on YouTube.

Thanks for the music and the fun, Ginger.
