David L. Lander, who played Squiggy for eight seasons on "Laverne & Shirley", has passed away from complications of multiple sclerosis at age 73.
Lander was also a writer on the show for its first two seasons. Since his MS diagnosis in 1984, he primarily worked as a voice actor. A couple notable exceptions were his three guest appearances on neighbor David Lynch's "Twin Peaks" as the taxidermist Tim Pinkle, and a recurring role on daytime soap "The Bold and the Beautiful" as Dr. Marty Guthrie in the late nineties.
