Well, he was 90! At this point I would call him quite fortunate for having lived such a long, fruitful life. But looking at it strictly in selfish terms, of what his death means to those of us who grew up listening to him sing "It's A Good, Good Morning Day," and a ton of other age-appropriate songs, while we absorbed his gentle, optimistic spirit like the sponges we were at age 4-5. today is a tragedy, indeed.
