    So, Yesterday (Christmas Day)

My wife and I decide to catch a flick at our

    local multi-pex in Hamilton, NJ.

We were both burning to see LOTR again,

but figured we would wait and experience it again

with one of our friends who is a huge fan, but has

been too sick to get out to the movies.

Anyway, we attended a 7:15pm showing of "Vanilla Sky"

and about an hour and ten minutes into it, the lights

come up, and the popcorn ads start circulating on the

screen. After about 3 minutes of laughing to ourselves

that that MIGHT have been the actual ending to this movie,

an usher came to the front, and announced there was a

RIOT or HUGE fight next to the box office and everyone HAD TO GET UP AND LEAVE!

I mean, i don't know who reading this has had the pleasure/misfortune of viewing a film in some parts of rowdy NJ, but I couldn't believe they made ALL 24 theaters EVACUATE, when the safest place would be RIGHT IN THE THEATER.

You should have seen this poor 17 year old usher, he was sweating bullets, and shaking. Get this, You might figure he was shaken up due to the fact there was ruckus going on, but our guess was he didn't want to start ANOTHER riot and be trapped in the theater with a bunch of filthy animals that can hardly act like human beings.

So I grabbed my wife, and we split out the back, and as we were rounding the theater, we saw about 8-10 squad cars,

and 3-4 ambulances. no paddy wagon though.

Due to NJ's remarkable parking lot plans, there were about 800 cars trying to get out of the lot at the ONE EXISTING exit.

-geez, i can't wait to get to Austin next month.

I wish I could have seen this. I love good ol' Jersey fights, especially with a lot of people.

Must have been some DVD enthusiasts who found out that the movie was in Pan and Scan. [IMG]

I had a bomb threat while watching Snake Eyes at a theater in Manhattan. They evacuated it, and for the inconvenience, they let us all see the movie later and we also got another free movie pass. I ended up seeing Snake Eyes 1.5 times and Something About Mary for the price of one ticket.
For those two movies, I was still ripped off.[IMG]

Notice how all the anti-NJ comments are from New Yorkers. I don't mind the comments, because when we get insulted, we just rip right back at someone else, like the people in PA.

Why are New Yorkers afraid of dying?

Because the light at the end of the tunnel is New Jersey.

    hahahah Lovely Hamilton,
My exgirlfriend lives there...lovely area [IMG] (actually it was).
I was dragged to go see bless the child (I could have killed my friends). I drove a friend of mine and this snotty girl that he was trying to impress. All I heard the whole time in the car was about her her her and how I she didnt like my driving (Im safe so sue me). Anyways....
We get to the theater and its packed...so we sit in the third row..At this point Im already pissed. Then what looks like a Gang Arguement just errupts in the movie theater...From Row Yelling threats to the Backrow Backrow yelling to the front row, people getting pissed and yelling for both parties to shut up... I got so pissed I complained to the BO attendent. What did they do, not a damn thing!
Unfortunately the movie theater isnt that bad and this was an iscolated incident, (Palisades Center Mall in Nyack NY) but damn that had to be the worst movie going evening Ive ever had (BAD MOVIE, BAD COMPANY, BAD MOVIE GOING CROWD)

I was just kidding about the PA comment.

The worst experience in a theater 'round here for me was probably seeing movies in those tiny little theaters in the attic, the ones that are smaller than an average living room. Sound is also really bad in 90% of the theaters near me.
