I'd have to ask my father. He's the one who collects motorcycle safety statistics, because he's the motorcyclist ; although I do recall that Harleys have the oldest rider population, because those who couldn't afford them in their 20s are buying them now that they're older and better off.

There does appear to be a certain proportion of the population which, secure in the knowledge that ramming or sideswiping a motorcycle will do very little damage to a large, heavy car or truck, simply ignores them while driving.
