While I'm overjoyed that Rhino has put out the complete "Pink Lady and Jeff" show and has now released "The World of Sid and Marty Krofft" set, I have to ask why were both of these 3-disc sets when each disc was single-layer and only 1 side each? It doesn't even look like these were ever made to be sold individually as each disc has the same catalog number on it; it just looks like someone's attempt to make the packages look "bigger" (and possibly justify higher prices too!)

    Probably for disc space reasons.

I guess they thought 3 DVD-5's (15 GB) would work better than a single DVD-18.

The size of each program also would determine the format.

That's what's funny about these- they could at least have fit these on 2 DVD-9's or 1 DVD-10 and 1 DVD-5, instead of 3 DVD-5's. It just doesn't make sense (though one could argue buying "Pink Lady and Jeff" doesn't make sense either, but what can I say; I have a sick mind! [IMG] )
