Produced by Sid and Marty Kroft for NBC from 1980 to 1982, Barbara Mandrell and The Mandrell Sisters pulled in over Forty Million Viewers each week of it's two year run.
I know that the majority, if not all of the Kroft properties are owned by Rhino now. The show marked a turning point in Country and Western music that helped spawned the vast commerical empire that country music is today. It was also the last true great broadcast television Variety Series.
It would be great to see this fine show finally come to DVD. Not only would it appeal to the many millions of Mandrell fans that there still are, but also bring one of the true great ratings winners from the 80's into the DVD age.
