Recorded this on May 8 and finally watched it today. Romantic melodrama that I thought had a strange AR of 1.66 (should have been 1.75) and at times had directional dialog and music. Strange as this should of had mono sound but maybe someone at TCM or whoever recorded the transfer for them played around with the sound. Transfer was on the soft side so must be been recorded a long time ago.

Sounds like the same master WAC released on DVD (and as a pressed disc in the Elizabeth Taylor Legacy Collection). As you say, it's on the soft side, but certainly more than watchable. It's a lovely film.

Yes, I love Rhapsody and would love this film to be brought up to high definition standards in both images and sound. Elizabeth looks really good in Rhapsody and deserves a Warner Archive blu-ray disc.
