Buttkicker is looking for a reviewer for their new wireless kit to do a write up on the forum. The reviewer should be familiar with or have used a Buttkicker setup before. I will choose from those that apply and then get you together with Buttkicker.

If you would like to review their new setup let me know in this thread.

I am very familiar with Buttkicker and have considered one of their setups but have never had the pleasure of actually having my butt thoroughly "kicked"!

I would love to give a review a shot.

I've personally owned 4 Aura bass shakers while in college. They were attached to Rooms to Go couch. It was a little over kill but I was young and trying to impress. It was pretty cool for playing video games with friends. The best part was not warning visitors about the transducers. My roommates and I saw some pretty interesting reactions. Personally I have not owned a Buttkicker Kit but I have some experience with them. For Christmas I attached a Buttkicker mini LFE to my father’s recliner.

Here's a little fun background on my father. He had a 5.1 Bose speaker set connected to a stereo receiver and would brag about his “surround sound system”. As you could tell he’s not the brightest when it comes to HT tech. After not hearing the rears or center for 2 years I had to help him out. I took him to CC and talked him into getting a new receiver during Black Friday. After 20 min of trying to convince him a powered sub would fit in his TV room I decided I was going to get him a shaker for Christmas. You should have seen his face after he heard/felt LOTH for the first time with a true 5.1 system.

The Buttkicker was his favorite part. He preferred it turned up a bit but it had more than enough movement with the amp set at lower levels. I guess loss of butt sensation and hearing go together with age. Despite its size and weight it could hit pretty low frequencies. The mini had less movement then the 4 Aura Pros but that should be expected. The mini definitely seemed to be smoother and posses a larger sweet spot. If it was not for the Buttkicker my father’s system would be lacking all bass because his Bose sub is passive. He still needs a sub for the other listeners so now I’m trying to sell him on an 8” sub. I’ve only been back to visit a few times but its great hearing him tell me about his friends reactions when they try the chair. His favorite demo for his guests is the storming of the beach scene from Saving Private Ryan. The mini is by far the best present I’ve ever given him.

I would love to give the Buttkicker wireless system a ride. With two 125 watt 10” subs with 12”radiators and another 650 watt 10” sub, I still need more bass. This system could be what I’m missing. Despite their roughness and the audible vibrations from my old cheap couch I do miss my Aura's.

I probably don’t have as much experience as some on this forum but I figure it would be worth my time to give it a shot. I was thinking about adding a shaker system to my theater room but I’ve encountered some resistance from my wife. If I get picked maybe this demo would change her mind.

Sorry I missed this chance. I have used Buttkickers in one form or another for approx 5 years. Presently I have one hooked to my couch, another to a loveseat, and one to a recliner. I am presently using two Buttkicker amps and two Buttkicker wireless setups.

Carl,

It seemed like everyone missed this thread. I saw it and pounced! While I have been here on HTF for many years and I've known about Buttkicker for many of those years, I never had the pleasure of trying the product out and it's been on my list of things I want to try for some time.

I was very pleased when Parker started this thread and I was floored when I was lucky enough to be picked to do the review.

I've been in contact with Randy from Guitammer and the set up is on the way! Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming review!

I was just looking at the buttkicker products and would love to review one with my home theater. I already have polk rti10's and a velodyne cht subwoofer and i think one of those would go great with my stuff. I might even purchase the thing after im done reviewing.
