Michael, are you sure GH1 is coming out that soon here? I see nothing on Amazon or DVD empire about it. I also checked the Queenonline website and they only mention the Freddie tribute DVD release.
Can I ask where you heard this????

The Freddie tribute DVD should be the same as the UK version.

Dave, you might have to look deeper for the "video hits 1" press release as it was announced a few weeks ago. The US release was also mentioned by the fan club.

Amazon does list it, search for "greatest video hits 1". CDNow also has the hits DVD.

Link Removed is reporting the following;
"EMI has announced a double-disc release of The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert: 10th Anniversary Edition, due out on 11/26 for $24.98. According to the press materials, "Disc 1: The second half of the event, featuring Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon joined by a glittering array of guest vocalists and players including Roger Daltrey, Slash, Robert Plant, Lisa Stansfield, George Michael, David Bowie, Annie Lennox, Elton John and Axel Rose. Disc 2: Full-length TV Documentary and Freddie Mercury Inserts." It's unclear what happened to the first half of the massive concert, but it does not appear to be on this release. The second half, however, will be presented in full frame with DD 2.0 audio (just as it was originally broadcast). The extras will include some rehearsal and backstage footage, and a photo gallery."
At first glance you will notice there is no mention of the DTS 5.1 track that was included on the previously released disc in the U.K. Also of note is that the article claims it will be presented full frame instead of the matted widescreen version which was also on said previous release.
Whether this is true or they simply got the specs wrong remains to be seen.
The U.S. DVD is now available for pre-order from www.amazon.com
