just thought i'd bump this up and second the question. my a/v dealer tells me that it should be in his shop in about a week with a price of $800cdn. the single disc player, the dv6200 should be $750cdn. has anyone got either of these yet? how is it?

We just got the DV-6200 in today. As I suspected, it uses the same chipset as the VC-5200. Glorious picture IMHO, and a very elegant player. Definitely an excellent source for video.
Marantz touts that it has been designed with excellent audio circuits as well, I just didn't have time to test out the audio side of things.
Incidentally, I checked on the price of the VC-5200 and it actually comes in at $900CDN. Sorry for the error.
Sound and Vision has a review of the VC-5200 up on their web site now.

    hey jeff,
when testing out the 6200, are you going to do some mp3 testing? i'm curious because players like the panasonic don't let you see folder structures or file names and i'm wondering whether this player will let you see things like that through an on-screen display.

    Matt:
I did not, but I can check that for you. I think I'm going to bring the 6200 home for an evening for some more in-depth testing.
Ironic, as I still wait for the RP-91. [IMG]
