    Howdy All,

Just thought I would let you know about my new 7.1 Channel Reciever which happens to be a Harman Kardon AVR5550.

Straight out of the box, it looks impressive, and comes with a very details manual and funky remote which is backlit, supporting DTS-ES, Logic 7, MP3, Dolby Pro Logic II, ABUS, RS232, HDCD.

Function wise, this machine is excellent, I've found it has great feature for watching normal tv, and the surround sound modes are great. Music wise, Ive found it to be very impressive, with the volume up, it keeps the signal nice and clean, with great power of 7 Channel Surround Mode: 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Connections on the back are great, lots of optical powers etc. Nice onscreen display menu, with the EZY Setup tool for testing the SPL from your prime seating position. Found it only takes minutes to configure for perfect sound.

Look, Style, Power. 9/10 from this HT Enthusiast

It looks like the AVR-5550 is equivalent to the AVR-525 which is available in the U.S. Looks like you made a great purchase.

    Enjoy !
