Returning an HDTV decoder box (1 Viewer)

I want to try the Sony HD100 with my HS10 RPTV. I already have Direct TV with an eliptical dish (so I can tune in the HD sat) and an RCA receiver. If I order the HD100, and don't like it, how do I return it? I guess I'm confused about the procedure. What about the card inside it? Or do I just take the subscriber card out of the RCA, and use that in the HD100? How have others of you who've tried different HD sat decoders with Direct TV done it? Also, I live in rural Iowa, so I will have to buy the HD100 online, which will make it a bit more difficult to return if I don't like it. Thanks for the help.

Once a card is activated it can only be used on the account activated.
If you want to use the RCA card in the Sony box you will have to call DirecTV and ask them to move it.
Return procedures vary by store and you will have to talk to them. For example WalMart has a NO returns policy on its DirecTV receivers.
