I got Return Of The Vampire last week (store jumped the street date) and though it's quite watchable, the transfer is a disappointment. White speckling on black backgrounds, blemishes, scratches ..... that kind of thing. I would wish for a cleaner print but for an obscure film that's almost 60 years old, it could have been far worse.

Too bad about the transfer, but this is a definite buy for me. I loved this film as a kid, especially as it had both Dracula and a werewolf. As a child, I always wondered where this fit in the Universal series,(why didn't the werewolf look like the wolfman?) but now I know better.

I think the RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE disc looks better than any previous video release I've seen.

NIGHT OF THE DEMON was a great transfer IMO.
