With cable & satellite TV, today's younger generation can enjoy much of the TV we used to watch as kids.

Even better, there is so much of it coming out on DVD. Nobody I ask can remember HR Pufnstuf so I think I'm gonna get the DVD which is available on region 1.

I have a few old British Kids TV on Cult Kids DVDs but would like to see more that I used to watch. I'd love to see Barbapappa and the original Rupert the bear with that scary artwork.

Can anyone help me with the name of a cartoon with a wolf that walked tall in a pair of baggy brown trousers with a single strap over his shoulder to hold them up. He always chased the same kid or sheep (can't remember which) that always said "It's the woolerf, it's the woolerf"?

The show you're thinking of is "It's The Wolf".
It featured the voices of Paul Lynde as Mildew Wolf and Dawes Butler as Lambsy. The sheep's guardian was Bristol Hound (played by Allan Melvin).
It was a Hanna-Barbera series from 1969.

Maybe Loopy De Loop was Lambsy's proper character's name?

Paul Lynde's probably best known as the voice of the Hooded Claw in "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop". He also had a regular role in "Bewitched". He's got a very distinctive voice!

The "It's A Wolf" cartoon was originally part of the "Cattanooga Cats" hour (which is listed by the IMDb), but I'm pretty sure that the series ran on its own in the UK.

I definitely don't remember "The Cattanooga Cats" or "Around The World in 79 Days", but I do remember "Motormouse and Autocat".

I think it's likely that the individual series were sold separately, or that the BBC picked up the show, sliced it up and showed the cartoons individually.

I remember seeing "It's The Wolf" on TV when I was a kid. I would never know when it was on because it would usually show during those 30-minute blocks of cartoons that were listed in the TV Guide just as "Cartoons" with no descriptions.

Don't worry Brian, I was only born in 1967 & I remember seeing it until I was about 12
