hello folks,

i've been thinking about this for some time and want to sponge some knowledge off you guys. besides, i thought this would be an interesting discussion...

if you had the money and the room, how would you set-up a driver/speaker system evaluation room? what hardware, software, room treatments, and misc. items would you choose? dont worry about a budget or a spouse, just go for it.

All you need is a calibrated B&K 4133 mic $3000 and a good mic pre-amp $500. Then get Clio-Win or the new Praxis pkg $1000. Combine above with the knowledge to use them properly.

Room TXs are chump change in comparison to the cost of the measurement tools

thanks for the reply TW. i was hoping you'd drop in. wow 3k for a mic. thats a real eye opener. so praxis now replaces LAUD? of the two, Praxis and Clio, which is more user friendly? how's the demo version of Praxis stack up and would the RTA be worth the time for a download? any sites where i can get more info? what about Clio-lite for the DIY'ers.
