Checking out aintitcool.com's Kill Bill set reports, Harry asked Quentin about the Dogs transfer, here's an excerpt:

Also, about the RESERVOIR DOGS dvd – Quentin hasn’t seen this DVD yet but is concerned about the allegations that it is desaturated and greenish. I didn’t really notice this on the copy I got, but apparently some other reviewers did. When I told him about the really lame intros to the documentaries on the disc he winced.

This is the closest thing we have to a reaction at this point. Check the site in the 2nd update to see this info.

Somewhat related= my friend says Mr. Brown DVD has more supplements simply because it's "Quentin."

Also, what is the point of the 4 pack (isn't there like 6 different people/colors? [haven't seen it-eager]?), just for people to get different cases. Besides if there is more than 4 colors, does each pack have variations?

Just so everyone knows, I just got off work at a major electronic store, hint not Best Buy but a competitor, and opened up the new release box for tommorow. We got ten Reservoir Dogs in and the breakdown goes like this
    3 Mr White
    3 Mr Blonde
    3 Mr Orange
    1 Mr Brown
And Mr Brown has QT sig on it, but where was Mr. Pink? I thought Brown was the rare one

The box set is simply four different covers, four same DVDs. Rather than produce a nice set (maybe the CD soundtrack, script, etc), they've thrown four of the different covered DVDs together in one box. I doubt anyone will buy it.

I'm waiting for a R2 release myself, preferably without the "collector card" covers.

I am so offended! I have Photoshop and some...ahem...extra body hair.
Looks like I'll have to pick up some of that "Enleve" hair removal spray when I go to Target tomorrow! [IMG]

Well, the Mr. Brown cover has a thank-you from Tarantino in the booklet, if that counts as more extras.
All I know is that I haven't even watched the movie yet and I feel like I must buy JVC electronics and Reservoir Dogs dolls, posters, t-shirts and knit caps. Does the advertising count as "extras"? [IMG]

The reason Mr. Pink isn't on store shelves is because he refused to tip the delivery driver.

Best Buy near me had scads of Pink, just one White, and nothing else as far as I could tell.

I'm still on the fence about picking this one up, even with the $5 BB gift card.

Anyone care to push me either way?

The Best Buy here had the Mr. Brown version on the aisle display, and all the other versions in the "action" section. I got Mr. Pink, (which there were the most of).
