And Leary brings up a good point about this all making sense if you know the characters.

And yeah, I did notice the boom operator.

For some reason, after sitting through the recap at the beginning, I thought I have missed an episode. That threw me off for the entire episode.

Now, Zombie Garrity was kinda funny. It's got spin-off possibilities.

Zombie Garrity was a riot.. I was wondering where they were going with the porn search thing (why do I care they're running through the kitchen!), but the payoff with Garrity zonked in the dip was awesome!

Janet is as effed up as Tommy.. they're definitely getting back together. I can see a whole series of discreet interludes with her "cheating" on Jonny with Tommy! :) Lou/Kenny seems like he's getting back on track. And Sheila looks like she's going to be getting some meaty scripts coming up instead of just cleaning up after old man Gavin.

Man, I love this show!

How can I say that this season is by far the best one "Rescue Me" has produced, and we've only seen six episodes so far.

The rape moment from a few weeks ago paid off royally last night when the tables were turned. When I saw that moment a few weeks ago, I didn't love it, and I didn't hate it, but I was definitely stunned while watching it. It glued me right to the TV, and after it was over, it was like a WTF moment that came right out of nowhere. In the last episode, the tables were turned, and once again I was glued to the TV. I knew what Leary was trying to do a few weeks earlier but here I wouldn't have expected this.

And poor Sheila. She's losing her mind. I think she might actually kill somebody in a future episode. In fact, it would be interesting if she shoots Tommy. I would be interested to see the results of that situation.

BTW, did anyone see the preview for next week's episode. The moment in the Men's room between Tommy and his brother made me laugh out loud. Juvenile, yes, but they pulled it off wonderfully.

It has firmly established itself as not only FX's best show, ranking right up there with all of their shows, but also as one of the best shows on television. I think we can say, especially with Denis Leary's Emmy nomination, that it is now official.

This has been one of our favorite shows from the first episode.
Did anyone else recognize Phil Esposito, former Bruins and Rangers star, playing hockey against "Tommy" last night?

I agree, they're kicking SERIOUS ass with this season. Better then the first two, and that's saying a lot.

Garriety as the Zombie was phenominal stuff as was the "What? Now I'm a terrorist because I like real tits!?" line.

Great, great stuff.

excellent episode. This is the best thing on TV right behind DEADWOOD. The Zombie Garriety was a riot, especially for me. The last time I visited my parents, I found out my mom was taking sleeping pills because I found her in the kitchen at 2 in the morning baking a chicken (still frozen and in the wrapper) and talking about the NBA finals...she had no memory of it the next morning and did not believe me until I basically called her doctor for her forcing the issue. Watching Garriety sit up and yawn gave me shivers since I have experienced what was coming next. I saved the episode to show my mom because she was very afraid of what she might have done if she had taken a drive in that condition.

Tommy getting "raped' was a riot, as was Shiela's reaction...just perfect.

Awesome news!!

I was hoping they would not leave the show hanging just as it is starting to really find its groove and new audience...

take note HBO...

HBO's gotten clueless. FX on the other hand is fantastic. Wish they'd stuck by Over There, though...

Is this a great show or what? The freakin' teaser is funnier than most whole comedies and at the same time has more heart than most whole dramas.

"He had the homosexual experience. I was just in the room at the time."

"You were checking out my rack?"
"I'm a guy."

"Nice enough guy. Didn't eat much."

"At least I'm dry."

"This is incredibly stupid."
"Well, you're in luck; 'cause incredibly stupid is one of my best things."

:D

Waiting for the 2nd half. :)

I couldn't decide if that was rape or necrophilia - but either way it was disturbing, and so is Sheila. I think next year there may be two acting Emmy nominations for this series. It deserves more.

Does Leary have the best job in the world, or what?

"Hmmm... let's see, what do I have to do today?

Let Andrea Roth strip down to lingiere and pretend to ride me hard? Check.

Make out with Marisa Tomei, grope her boobs and ass? Check.

Let Callie Thorne get topless and pretend to ride me hard - while I'm supposed to be drugged, so I don't even have to act? Check.

Is it time for lunch yet?"

Must be nice to be an executive producer, one of the head writers and an actor in the show. You can write hot women into all sorts of scene with yourself. (As previously seen on The Job, where Leary managed to play scenes with the likes of Liz Hurley and Gina Gershon.)

"What is this - a Ray Charles tribute?"

:D

Regards,

Joe
